2008 Northwest Teachers Meeting—Seattle, October 4

The 2008 regional Teachers Meeting, sponsored by the Northwest Dharma Association, will take place on October 4 at the same location as last year’s gathering, the Blue Heron Zen Center in North Seattle.

A committee of Northwest teachers and NWDA board member-teachers is preparing the 2008 agenda with input from participants from recent years. It will include an introduction to the Northwest Dharma Association’s online teacher forum and other topics of special interest to teachers.

Dharma teachers, clergy, and ordained Buddhist practitioners who reside in or visit the Northwest are invited to attend. The annual meeting provides an opportunity to share skills and experience and discuss topics of mutual interest.

The event offers Buddhist teachers of different traditions a rare opportunity to interact as peers. It is intended for teachers only (those who have been authorized to teach and are currently teaching) and is not open to students or the public.

The meeting is scheduled from 10:00 am to 4:00 p.m. Morning hospitality begins at 9:30 and lunch will be provided. To attend, please register at the Northwest Dharma Association website, www.northwestdharma.org. (Click on “Welcome” and look under “Announcements” in the upper right-hand corner.)

More information about the Teachers Meeting agenda will be posted on the NWDA website as it become available.
